These two pictures are of a flock of Eiders we disturbed as we crossed an Island getting ready to set up our decoys.... after we set up these birds started coming back within 30 minutes! We limited out in no time!

We Hunt areas around Deer Isle, Eggemoggin Reach, Blue Hill Bay and Penobscot Bay depending on where the ducks are when your hunt begins.
Unlike most of the Guides that hunt this area I LIVE here and am on top of the duck movements and habits like the guys from away CANNOT.
When you book your hunt I will block off 3 days so in the event of bad weather you will have a chance to reschedule.
This hunting is NOT for the faint hearted. while October can be beautiful it can also give you a real dose of the tough months to come...November and December can get brutally cold with storms and snow!
Be prepared with the correct warm clothes and raingear! You can always remove it if the weather turns nice....YOU CANNOT ADD WARM CLOTHES IF YOU DON'T BRING THEM!!!!
12 Gauge shotguns are a must!
3 or preferably 3 1/2 inch magnum loads are needed as these eiders are the worlds biggest ducks and can sometimes just shrug off anything smaller.
Federal Law requires steel shot of preferably the newer hevi-shot or tungsten and the like.
It is preferable that you bring your own ammo. If need be I can purchase it for you but I charge a lot more then your local gun shop!
Bring at least 2 BOXES per hunt!!!
Fees and Costs
$400.00 for 1 or 2 hunters
Additional $200.00 per hunter over 2
I limit hunts to no more then 4 hunters so I can keep up with retrieving your ducks and give you the proper attention.
1/2 deposit is required. If you cancel 7 days or less you forfeit your deposit.
I will cancel due to bad weather/seas but understand this is fall/winter in Maine. It will have to be REALLY BAD before we cancel so make sure you bring the proper clothing!

We provide guided Sea Duck Hunts in Maine. The area we Sea Duck hunt includes Penobscot Bay, Deer Isle, Stonington, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor, Downeast Acadia, Mid Coast Maine. We Sea Duck Hunt over decoys off half tide ledges. well cared for retrievers in excellent shape are welcome.
